Although there are several divisions within the Tuttle Police Department, the Patrol Division is the largest and the most visible. For many citizens, a member of the Patrol Division is the initial and possibly the only contact they have with the Department. As ambassadors of the Department and the City of Tuttle, the members of our Patrol Division strive to provide law enforcement services in a professional and courteous manner.
The function of the Patrol Division is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Tuttle and maintain the public peace. Uniformed officers proactively prevent and deter crime and respond to citizens calls for service. As first responders, the preservation of life and the prevention of injury is the highest priority of the patrol officer. In addition, the patrol officer is responsible for the protections of property, maintenance of public order, prevention of crime, enforcement of laws and ordinances, and arrest of law violators.
Traffic Collision Report
The driver of a motor vehicle involved in a crash not investigated by a law enforcement officer and resulting in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property of any one person, including himself, to any apparent extent of at least one thousand dollars ($1000), must within 10 days after such crash complete and forward this report.
